			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>I have made a little change in my routine <a href="http://everestat75.com/2009/07/slow-and-steady/" target="_blank">since my last post</a>.</p>
<p>I now do <a href="http://hundredpushups.com/" target="_blank">pushups</a> on Monday, Wednesday and Friday and walk four miles. My best time this week was 63 minutes. I am currently shooting to get it under an hour by next Sunday.</p>
<p>On Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, when I don&#8217;t do pushups I walk more. Yesterday, I walked six miles for the first time. It took me 97 minutes. That is a tad over 16 minutes per mile, while I was a tad under 16 min per mile on a four miles walk. Over the next couple of weeks my focus will be to cut my time, rather than increase my distance.</p>
<p>My <a href="http://www.fourhourworkweek.com/blog/2007/04/06/how-to-lose-20-lbs-of-fat-in-30-days-without-doing-any-exercise/" target="_blank">diet program is effective and I have lost almost 10 pounds</a> since I started the diet three weeks ago, and I bought a pair of 32&#8243; waist shorts this week, as my brand new 34&#8243; shorts were getting loose. yea!</p>
<p>I am going to be leaving Houston late Sunday, early Monday to go to <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grand_Canyon" target="_blank">Grand Canyon</a>. It has been more than 25 years since I last visited Grand Canyon, but the memory is fresh and I remember the impact it had on me. I came back with an awesome attitude and fresher outlook on life. It was one of my most profound Spiritual Experience.</p>
<p>Within a year, I had relocated from Chicago to Austin with a better job than I had at that time and I am looking forward to having a similar impact again. I plan on traveling by road and I will be writing in more detail about it during the week and as I get closer to leaving at my <a href="http://presentdaynomads.com/" target="_blank">Nomadic blog</a>.</p>
<p>The diet and exercise routine will be challenged as I travel, but I will keep you posted. I will have my next weekly post here on Sunday before I leave. I intend to be back by Friday.</p>
